just came back from what i assume a illegal fish market that operates on a street within MongKok district, every morning around 5am fish vendors set up "shops" on the side of the road offering pet gold fishes, turtles, plants, and fishfood at discounted prices to the early birds. i decided to check it out this morning, cutting my night a little short and took a taxi down there with my parents, it was quite a scene

it started raining, but business as usual...

picked up the HTC a week ago, i wasnt really in the market for a new phone until i saw this, i was so blinded by the apple ios i didnt even notice the WM7 phones were in play

after trying out the HD7 at the store i felt in love right away, the refreshing UI, the live tiles, and the simplicity of it. the 4.3 inch screen is a monster, prime real-estate. and the 5mp cam is plus too since im coming from the 3g iphone

ive now had it for a whole week and still find myself constantly putting out of my pocket and playing with it, i guess thats a good thing right. definitely convincing a few friends and family members that theres other great phones out there than apple

the only major drawback for me is the lack of apps from the marketplace, but i knew that before coming into the WP7 family. apps like etrade and skype i definitely would like to see in the future. games wise its not a big deal for me, i much rather play games on my ipad which i do on a regular bases, but its pretty dope they let you try out the games before purchasing

sorry for the lack of updates, life has been a little hectic

just got back from another trip from bangkok, had a really good time this trip
traded my long sleeve and hi-tops for shorts and sandles
we went all out with the tourisy stuff this time, visited alotta cool places that i havent been before
food was really great, actually had to pulled off a final meal at the airport while running to the gate @ final call almost missing the flight lol
the s95 came super handle, still love my tilt shift mode very much haha so heres some of my pics from the trip

heres the rest of the pics from my thailand vacay, all pics here from bangkok

bangkok sure quieted down since the last time i was there few years ago, and its all caused by the red shirt movement im sure

anyway, we were only there for about 3 days, walked around the city for a bit, hit up the sunday market on, well... sunday
and visited the four faced buddha on the last day

anyway, despite everything that happened, life still goes on

best way to get to know a city is by walking, and i swear, thailand's got the best street food ever

so a little bit of this and a little bit of that, we had our first lunch sitting outside this square

the next day we went out to the Chatuchak sunday market, its the king of all outdoor market's
over 15,000 shops and stalls, hundreds of thousands of visitors throughout the weekend
ranging from vintage jeans, household items, to pets and plants, anything u can imagine

exhausting... u couldnt walk thru it all if u had all day, we tried. and dont even think about trying to find that thing again, its so big u better buy it when u see it

aight so the last day we visited the four faced buddah, my mom likes to visit and wish us luck and health and stuff

first we buy the flowers

say ur prayers on each sides of the buddah, give flowers, and light incense while going around

they also had dancers on site, which was kinda cool

got back from thailand 2 days ago, it was fun, and im now darker but peeling

i took tons of pics, but instead of flooding it all in 1 post, ima do it in 2 parts... pattaya and bangkok

Pattaya which we were there for the big half of our trip, big beach city packed with tourist from all over the world, its internationally known for its nightlife, AND sex tourist destination! (but no thanks, there are tons of ladyboys too), but it still had tons of other stuff to offer

(A reminder to myself and others)

A Professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the Professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The Professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with an unanimous “yes.”

The Professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the space between the grains of sand.

“Now,” said the professor, as the laughter subsided, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things—your family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. The sand is everything else -the small stuff.

“If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued, “there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. pretty chilled today. my cousins, aunt and uncle, also my grandpa came by the crib

today i went to the Hong Kong Jockey club's 125th Season opening raceday, horse of course!

my dad got me some free tix since he's a member of the hkjc, so i asked my friend to go shooting wit me

now im not a gambler, well not horse anyway, so, the few times i tried to win some bread, didnt happen...=.=

i tell ya, it was hot as hell yo, if u live in hk uknow, but for everyone else, wow! i think lost like 3 pounds by sweatin so much

took little over 200 pics, tried some panning shots, candids, whatever else haha, hope yall like a long post!

race fans lined up to ring the gong to start the season with some luck

sorry for the lack of updates, havent really been "out" clicking lately...

been working as usual, and doing this on the big board

ok i think im ready to blog or im just really "creative" right now

im down to tonite and tmr nite, then im all back to "reality", im so jacked right now cuz im watching this extreme terror rides on travel chan. and my neck is alrdy warm and tensed haha

so i just went downstairs to get a drink... i held on the railings tight, my neck was still tensed and my legs were stiff robot cop style, but the vita lemon tea was totally worth it
